A Tale of Naimisharan (Part I)

Dhani, a young woman of 22 years, devoted twelve years in prayer to Lord Shiva to receive the boon of getting a husband that her heart desires. Her prayers were answered, but rather than receiving one spouse, she was blessed with five. Aatrey, Bali, Mithun, Manan, and Aanan were the five brothers destined to be her husbands. They were princes of the great Empire of Mitramaan, in the land of Avabhoomi and ruled the village of Naimisharan, after the eldest brother Aatrey refused the title of crown prince. This is her love story with her five husbands. Set in a fantastical land of Avabhoomi, this tale draws inspiration from the story of Queen Draupadi in the renowned Indian epic, the Mahabharata.
